Our History
-We were founded in 1995, in Statetown, Tennessee . One of our main reasons for starting was to help students have a knowledge of new areas of the world that had been created after the fall of the USSR in 1991.
-We started off as a volunteer based group that met at a local middle school.
-In 1996, the organization began to spread to local high school.
-By 1999, with successes in these two schools, we soon were established in every school in the district
-In 2000, we started holding a Geography Bee to students divided into 4 categories (details explained on "Geography Bee" tab).
-In 2003, fundraising was started to raise money for a trip to a foreign nation in 2004, based off the votes of the participating students.
-Since then, All Geography has traveled to different countries every other year. Places include Australia, Brazil, France, Japan, and Russia.
-In 2007, we were received an award from the Nation Endowment for the Humanities for our work in helping educate youth on the importance of geography.
-In 2010, we opened another branch in nearby Township, Tennessee.
-Coming up in 2014, we are planning a trip to take those interested to South Africa, to complete our visit to every continent.
